I did not notice any hands-on materials, and there wasn't room in the classrooms for movement.
The teachers are very concerned about their students being prepared for the next grade level. We have less students and more resources in our classrooms, and we still have a gap too. ???

aww, they are so cute!
ReplyDeleteYou made it!! The students look so sharp in their uniforms. Who provides the uniforms? Since you didn't see hands-on materials, is it rote learning? Are the classes divided by gender, age/grade level, both? Do the girls stay in school as long as the boys? What are their subjects? You look so excited. I wish you continued adventures. See ya when you get back.

Jenny, the students are adorable and love to smile for the camera.
ReplyDeleteBarbara, I have taken a picture of each library. I cannot wait to show Margie, too.
The students are divided by grade level. The classes are divided by ability. For ex. above average students sit in one row, average students sit in the middle row, etc.
There is a lot of rote learning, copying from the board & worksheets. Journals & portfolios are emerging at some schools. I took pictures of the chalkboards with the tests or assingments. Thanks for checking in!
